Product Description |
Note: Be sure and read the customer reviews at the bottom of this page before deciding on a Thetford 135. For an equivalent price, you may want to consider an alternative portable flush toilet with more positive feedback such as the popular Century 6205.
You will never have to worry about spillage, leakage and sanitation problems again with a Thetford Porta Potti 135. It is a good choice for your RV, marine or camping trip. You will have a good feeling having it around with its no-splash pour-out spout, no-spill vent cap, and built-in deodorizer. Your worries of not having a place to respond to nature's call will be addressed with this portable potty.
The Thetford Porta Potti 135 measures 17" by 15" by 14" making it fit to any available space in your RV or boat. It comes with two sections that come apart and reattach easily. For maintenance and cleaning, you can rely on the push-button air relief valve that makes it possible for you to quickly clean and empty the holding tank. Also, cleaning the cover and seat is also easy with its removable design. You will also have enough space for a whole day adventure with its 2.6 gallon waste tank and a holding tank with the same capacity with 27 flushes.
The next great thing about the Thetford 135 is that its modest price tag should fit into most any budget. You will get the comfort for your outdoor need with a durable high-gloss finish portable flush toilet at a very affordable and reasonable price.

Good stand by toilet
|
| Review Date: February 16, 2010 |

| Purchased as a stand-by toilet for travel or power outages. It stores well as when it is empty it is quite light. I have a rain barrel out side that I can use to fill the tank if needed. I got this one as it was the lower priced Thetford unit that I could find online. Note check your local Wal-Mart first as they may have a comparible unit in the camping section for less. (considering shipping) |
Has the older, inferior, bellows pump...

| Thetford seems to be moving over from the older, inferior, bellows fresh water pump, to a much better piston pump. This model has the older pump. The problem? If you bellows cracks (and mine did, you may have guessed), Thetford will want almost $35, plus shipping, for a new piston pump! I can't see buying a product which, if a small part breaks, will cost me more than half of the price for the whole unit. I think it would be better to buy a less expensive unit first... and one which comes from the factory with piston type pump. Rich. |
I would not buy Thetford.

| I own a thetford porta Potti. At least I did until today. It's now in the garbage. The tank opening slider parts fell off into the holding tank. The tank can not be taken apart so unable to fix. I had only used a few times this season. Very poor quality indeed. Hard to know what stinks more; what goes into the toilet or the toilet itself. If you want to increase your odds of getting better quality, buy another brand. That's what I doing. |
